As part of a continuous growth and expansion plan AVK-SEG UK Ltd (AVK) has announced an agreement to acquire Enhanced Control Systems Ltd (ECS) effective as of 2nd March 2021.
United by common business culture and unrivalled commitments to customer service, the acquisition will enable AVK to add additional key technological capabilities, assets, and services to its already comprehensive offering – further strengthening its position as the UK’s leading critical power solutions provider.
As AVK Managing Director Chris Pritchard explains:
“Both AVK and ECS are well established as industry-leading providers of critical power and control solutions for a wide range of clients across the UK and Ireland. By combining these already successful business operations we are creating an enviable new force in the market, with the scale, quality and breadth of competencies needed to meet our clients’ increasingly complex control and critical power protection requirements.
“Responding to the increasingly international outlook of our clients, we are also building a platform from which we can grow into the most trusted power solution specialist across the EMEA region, with the capability to follow our customers globally. This is a truly exciting opportunity for everyone involved, and on behalf of everyone at AVK we’d like to welcome the ECS team, and we look forward to working together as ‘The Power People’”
About ECS
ECS was established nearly 15 years ago to meet the increasingly complex and growing demand for well-engineered control systems. In that time the company has built a first-class reputation for delivering practical and efficient solutions for their clients; from conception through design, build, installation and commissioning of projects, both in the UK and Europe and into the APAC and South America regions. Thanks to their commitment to quality, the majority of their clients, including world-leading pharmaceuticals, international shipping (and the UK’s leading critical power systems supplier) return for support time and time again.
Graham Port, Managing Director of ECS said:
“At ECS we’ve always believed in offering the very best engineered solutions for our customers. There’s a clear alignment between our two business operations, and this acquisition creates the scale we believe we need to respond to the growing requirements of our valued clients. There are plenty of complementary specialisms across the two businesses, and the deal will create additional value through synergies in shared best practice and technologies.
To continue to provide a seamless service to their existing client base, ECS will continue to operate under their separate brand identity for the immediate future. Any clients who may be immediately affected by the acquisition will be contacted in the first instance, however, neither business anticipates any disruption to current service levels. AVK and ECS look forward to a powerful future working together and we thank the teams and clients of both businesses for their continued support.
