Our sustainability & responsible business strategy
The footprint we leave
Together we can power positive change
As a leader in innovative power solutions, we’re well placed to help data centres reduce their environmental impact and drive towards net-zero. However, we believe that true sustainability goes beyond environmental considerations. We are passionate about delivering positive social impact and giving back to the communities we touch.
That’s why we’ve developed The Footprint We Leave, our first in-depth sustainability & responsible business strategy.

Our commitments
-
Powering a cleaner net-zero future We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint, both within our own operations and through the solutions and products we deliver.

We also aim to work with our partners to reduce environmental impacts across the value chain, protecting nature, advancing sustainability and supporting a transition towards a net-zero future.
Where we are?
We are completing a baseline assessment for our Scope 1 and 2 emissions to understand our current environmental footprint. We have also scoped the categories required to establish a Scope 3 baseline across our value chain. This work provides the foundation for consistent measurement and prioritisation of the most material sources of emissions.
What we want to achieve?
Building on our baselines, we aim to set emissions reduction targets covering the majority of material categories by 2027.Our long-term ambition is to reach Net-Zero across all scopes by 2050, supported by practical actions within our operations, supply chain and the solutions we deliver to customers.
What we’ll measure?
Total Scope 1 & 2 emissions(tCO₂e)
Carbon intensity per project(kg CO₂e/kVA)

Powering positive social change We are committed to creating lasting social value by widening access to STEM careers, supporting local communities, and contributing to sustainable economic growth.

Through our people and training facilities - including the AVK Academy - we help bridge skills gaps and create clear, accessible pathways into our industry. By engaging with schools, colleges and universities & offering apprenticeships, internships, and work experience, we focus on school outreach and early career opportunities that develop in sustained STEM roles, helping to strengthen social mobility and build a diverse, future-ready workforce.
Where we are?
We are establishing a robust baseline to understand our social value impact to date. This includes measuring employee volunteering, internships, work experience, apprenticeships, supply chain support, and local procurement spend. This baseline enables us to track our year-on-year increase in social value delivered and to understand how early-career opportunities translate into lasting STEM careers.
What we want to achieve?
Our initiatives aim to unlock lasting opportunities and deliver measurable, long-term outcomes in the communities and places we operate. This includes expanding the AVK Academy as a hub for long-term skills development across our workforce and supply chain, forging strategic community partnerships with education bodies that align with our mission, and supporting initiatives that strengthen and nurture a more diverse and inclusive talent pipeline.By the end of 2026, informed by robust baseline data, we will set ambitious social value targets aligned to our core metrics, demonstrate our commitment to people, communities, and lasting positive change.
What we’ll measure?
% increase in Social Value Creation
% of early career opportunities created that developed into lasting STEM careers at AVK

Powering fairer & responsible business We are committed to ensuring that our operations and supply chain reflect the transparency, fairness, and long-term thinking we believe in.

That means advancing ethical value chains and promoting safe, responsible business practices across our operations and the partners we work with.
Where we are?
We actively engage with our strategic and higher-risk suppliers to assess ESG risks and support improvement. This includes setting clear minimum expectations and providing practical tools and guidance to ensure compliance and embed responsible sourcing considerations into supplier engagement. These activities enable us to better understand risk exposure and prioritise action where it matters most.
What we want to achieve?
We aim to embed responsible business practices and sustainability across our business and supply chain. This includes updating our Supplier Code of Conduct, training teams on ESG and ethics, enhancing systems for responsible decision-making, and leveraging recognised tools and certifications (such as Sedex and EcoVadis) to drive continuous improvement.By the end of 2026, we will set clear and ambitious targets for Fairer and Responsible Business, informed by baseline assessments and ultimately ensuring our practices uphold integrity, transparency, and positive impact across our operations and supply chain.
