AVK has welcomed Shane Lennon to the team in the role of European Operations Director. Shane joins us with over 25 years’ experience working in the construction industry. His background is in electrical construction, and for the last 15 years his key focus has been in the DC and Energy Sectors. Shane has managed the delivery of mission critical projects to global clients across Europe and comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Shane joins AVK as the business continues to successfully deliver critical power projects for multiple clients across the continent, and will be working closely in collaboration with our recently appointed Operations Director, Mike Easton.
Mike is a results-oriented, hands-on director with over 30 years of experience in the industry. His excellent track record has seen him deliver successful projects on time and on budget through coordinating trades, developing partnerships, and building a positive relationship with a variety of stakeholders. Mike joined AVK late last year and has already made a massive positive impact on the projects team, helping to complete a number of projects across the UK and Europe.
Shane and Mike have joined AVK in support of our rapid expansion across the European marketplace. In 2022, AVK saw a 62% increase in the number of project orders received across the region, and through the opening of strategic new subsidiaries in Germany, Spain and Austria, the business now delivers services to new and existing clients across Europe through individual contracts or negotiated framework agreements.
AVK’s dedicated European operations team specialise in successful project delivery for clients and contractors outside of the UK and have experience working within the specific industry standards of several individual nations. Whilst the delivery team are located across multiple countries, they continue to be led by AVK veteran Mark Dawkins (Board Director for Operations) to ensure the quality standards our clients expect from us are upheld.
